El 12 de octubre llegará una nueva caja de David Bowie, la correspondiente al período de 1983 a 1988. La caja tiene 11 CDs o 15 vinilos y se llama Loving The Alien (1983 – 1988). El box set muestra el lado más comercial de Bowie y del que ya se lanza un primera adelanto, Zeroes.
La caja contiene entre otras cosas una nueva producción para el disco de 1987, Never let me down hecho por Mario McNulty con nueva instrumentación. Además contiene un disco en directo nunca antes publicado grabado en Vancouver en 1983, Serious Moonlight, disco doble que mezcló en su momento Bob Clearmountain. También se incluye el doble CD Glass spider Live in Montreal de 1987, que debuta en vinilo.
Por último la caja contiene Re:Call 4 y Dance, recopilaciones de nuevas versiones, la primera con canciones que no estaban en discos, caras B o en bandas sonoras como Labyrinth o Absolute beginners. Dance tiene remezclas de 12 canciones, algunas aparecen por primera vez en este box set. Dance era un viejo proyecto de lanzar un disco de remezclas en noviembre de 1985, pero nunca se publicó.
Por último el disco contará con un libreto de 128 páginas en CD y de 84 páginas en vinilo. La caja en vinilo contiene exactamente el mismo contenido que el CD. También habrá su versión digital.
