El próximo 29 de noviembre se reeditará el álbum de Prince 1999 en ediciones super deluxe, deluxe y la estándar. Será reeditado en LP, CD y plataformas digitales.
La edición super deluxe tendrá letras manuscritas de la época, y fotos exclusivas. Esta edición incluirá además dos actuaciones en vivo de la gira del disco, una del 30 de noviembre de 1982 en Detroit y una grabación del 29 de diciembre de 1982 en Houston, el primero en un CD el segundo en un DVD.
Esta es la edición que contiene las 35 canciones nunca antes escuchadas y grabadas entre 1981 y 1983 totalizando 65 canciones en total en 5 CDs o 10 vinilos. El álbum publicado el 27 de octubre de 1982 fue el primer trabajo del artista que triunfó realmente a todos los niveles, más allá del circuito del R&B. Concebido como doble álbum, más de 70 minutos, en lo que ya era un problema del artista, la gran fertilidad y cómo canalizarla, fue el primer top 10 en álbumes en los Estados Unidos llegando al #9. Aunque tras la muerte del cantante en 2016 fue #7.
Certificado como cuádruple platino en los Estados Unidos el disco contenía dos grandes éxitos en singles, 1999 y Little red corvette.
