Los MTV EMA 2020 incluirán tres nuevos premios: Mejor artista latino, Video con mensaje positivo y Mejor directo online.
Como siempre, los premios irán a parar a los artistas que obtengan más votos y depende de los fans hacer que ganen, votando por sus favoritos en mtvema.com y a través de las redes sociales.
