Bruce Springsteen publicará el 4 de diciembre, el esperadísimo box set de The river, uno de sus álbumes emblemáticos de 1980. Springsteen ya había sacado cajas de sus discos anteriores y ahora le toca el turno a The ties that bind: The river collection.
El box set tiene 52 canciones, en 4 CDs, con material inédito, y 4 horas de material no visto antes en 3 DVDs. En los CDs se incluye el disco original, que era doble, en los dos primeros CDs, un disco que se llama The river: Single album, outtakes del estudio, del 79 y 80 y 2 DVDs del concierto nunca visto en Tempe, AZ, y ensayos de la gira y un documental, The ties that bind about the river, además de 200 fotos nunca vistas.
El cuarto CD, será The river:Outtakes, que son rareazas de 1979 y 1980, con 11 canciones completamente desconocidas para el público. El documental de 60 minutos, está dirigiado por Thom Zimney y hay una entrevista con Springsteen, en el que Springsteen con una guitarra, va hablando sobre las canciones. Y luego las 2 horas y 40 minutos, ya comentadas, del concierto en Arizona State University en Tempe, AZ.
Las cajas, seran de 10 x 12 y vendrán además con un libro de 148 páginas. Publicado el 10 de octubre de 1980, The river fue el primer #1 en USA en álbumes de Bruce Springsteen, catapultado por el primer single, Hungry heart, que fue #5 en los Estados Unidos.
