Se han entregado los 61 Ivor Novello Awards, los premios más importantes de la composición y escribir canciones para la música británica e irlandesa y que desde 1974 lleva PRS. Los premios los entregan la comunidad de escritores y compositores del Reino Unido y se han entregado hoy 19 de mayo en el Grosvenor House, Park Lane, en Londres.
Entre los ganadores sobresalen James Bay que se ha llevado uno de los premios gordos, el de canción más pinchada por su Hold back the river, Adele, ha sido nombrada compositora del año, el premio a la contribución histórica con su colección de canciones ha recaído en Simple Minds. Los Happy Mondays se han llevado el premio a la Inspiración y el premio internacional ha recaído en Bryan Adams. Portishead se han llevado el premio a la contribución a la música británica. Damon Albarn se ha llevado el premio a toda una vida.
