Se han celebrado la 22 edición de los Critics’ Choice Awards, de cine, en Santa Monica Airport’s Barker Hangar en California con TJ Miller de presentador, los premios por primera vez se celebraban en el mes de diciembre. Los premios son para el cine y la televisión.
La La Land que tenía 12 nominaciones ha sido al final la que se ha llevado el gato al agua con 8 premios entre ellos los de Mejor Película, Director y Guion original. Curiosamente ni Ryan Gosling ni Emma Stone, ganaron los premios de interpretación. Otra películas que triunfaron fueron Jackie y Manchester by the sea con 3 premios y Arrival, Deadpool, Hacksaw ridge y Moonlight con 2.
